Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief: a fully-resourced Activity pack which includes 13 files of brilliant resources. This book is great to link to Ancient Greece but also to raise awareness of difference; Percy, the main character, is dyslexic and has a diagnosis of ADHD.
Arithmetic: We have created a Start of Year Assessment Pack which includes:
- Teacher Guide: test administration; domains tested and answers
- Pupil Test
- Spreadsheet for gap analysis which is editable
These tests are a great way to assess your new class to identify the gaps. You can plan interventions before embarking on new learning for the year.
Mental Maths: We have created weekly tests which link to our Mental Maths Programme. The first packs are for Autumn 1 and include:
- 7 weekly tests with answers
- Summary of objectives tested each week
Note that the first 4 weeks tests in this pack cover objectives from the previous year group. Subsequent tests filter in the current year group objectives to match the teaching sequence in The Mental Maths Programme. These weekly tests are perfect for retrieval practice. More packs coming soon!
Morning Work: We have updated our ever-popular Morning Work; September and October are available now. Future uploads are as follows:

- Summer Term – April 2025
If you have not used these before, why not give them a try? Each slide is dated and contains either Maths or English activities suitable for the year group. The activities are open-ended and a great way to get your class ready to start the day.
