Reading

No Ballet Shoes in Syria by Catherine Bruton, Reading Guide and resources, totalling 80 files. This is a great book about 11-year-old Aya, a Syrian refugee who escapes war-torn Aleppo with her mother and baby brother to Manchester. While navigating the asylum process and searching for her missing father, Aya finds solace, hope, and an opportunity to excel in a local ballet class. It works well with topics about refugees.
