We are thrilled to share with you our latest exciting resources! Did you know that Book Activity Packs were our most frequently downloaded in 2024? February sees 3 more added to the collection.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory – a classic which needs no introduction. The pack contains 91 files – a great bank of activities suitable for Whole Class reading or Guided Group reading. Just select those that meet the needs of your class.
Explore! Fair Trade – our first foray into nonfiction! If you cover Fair Trade, this is a great book which explains how it works. There are 89 files which include many GPS activities as well as reading activities and ideas for writing.
Wonder – a brilliant book with many PSHE themes to discuss and explore. There are a whopping 111 files – plenty for every class to get their teeth into.
Maths – our focus for this academic year is on Arithmetic and Mental Maths.
Mental Maths – this year we have introduced packs of weekly mental maths tests which match our Mental Maths programme. These packs are proving to be very popular. This month we have uploaded the packs for Spring 2 which you will find on each year group’s Mental Maths page.
Morning Work – What is Morning Work?
You might call it something else, but essentially it is an activity or series of activities that your class do when they enter the classroom in the morning.
Every day there are different Maths and English activities matched to each year groups’ National Curriculum objectives:
Monday – Maths Mania
Tuesday – Take 3 – Grammar and writing
Wednesday – WOW words – vocabulary
Thursday – Teaser – Maths: reasoning and problem-solving
Friday – Flashback – Maths and GPS looks back to Autumn term’s learning
