- Morning Work – January’s morning work has changed slightly from that in the Autumn term and now includes:
Monday: Maths Mania
Tuesday: Take 3 – a writing activity using specific grammar
Wednesday: WOW Words – vocabulary work
Thursday: Teaser – Maths Reasoning and Problem-solving
Friday: Flashback – activities for Maths; GPS and Topic for retrieval practice
- Writing – New Writing Workshops for writing a setting: Africa; The Dales; Castle; Winter. Beautiful images to stimulate vocabulary using the senses for short pieces of descriptive writing. Each PowerPoint contains 6 images, including close-ups, with and without annotated questions and word bank sheets for children to record relevant vocabulary. Watch out for our blog about this wonderful resource.
